Our camps provide a new and fascinating alternative to sports-themed camps and other school-break activities for children aged between 7 and 12 years old. If your child is a curious explorer with a thirst for knowledge about their past, why not let them try the School of Irish Archaeology? Our camps are run all year round, and they introduce children to the mysteries and adventures of our past in a fun, practical and hands-on way.

We use an ‘Indiana Jones’ approach to ensure your children get lots of time outdoors. As well as taking part in excavations and exciting treasure hunts, children will also get to visit important archaeological and historical sites such as Newgrange, Glendalough, Trim Castle and Dublin Castle, to name a few.

COVID-19 Operating Procedures and Guidelines:

Due to the COVID-19 government restrictions we have had to alter the format of our camps. We intend to adhere to and follow the guidelines and measures in-line with the second phase of lifting the public health restrictions. Our resumption will be in a limited capacity with no more than 15 children attending any one outdoor camp workshop, unless significant measures are announced from government and the HSE in the coming weeks. In our larger venues we will have two small groups in the morning camps (9am – 12pm) and a further two groups in our later camp (1pm – 4pm). Each group will consist of no more than 15 children. Our smaller venues will only have 15 children in the morning camps and a further 15 in the later camp. As much as we would like to have normal operating hours from 9 – 3pm we need to follow the guidelines issued to us in order to keep our staff and your children safe while trying to run an exciting, fun and educational camp. Children will not be able to book into both morning and afternoon camp workshops due to the government guidelines and we do apologise for any inconvenience caused.
