The School of Irish Archaeology is the choice of activity for the curious child. Established in 2011, we have been introducing children to Ireland's rich culture and heritage, through interactive 'Big Digs', where they get a hands-on experience of a real archeological site.
We offer a great mix of activities in local regions nationwide, so whether you want to come to a heritage event, an educational workshop, a week-long camp, or a family fun day, the School of Irish Archaeology is the choice for your adventurous family.
As the first-ever Archaeology School for children in Ireland, we take pride in our approach in delivering fascinating and engaging workshops to both primary and secondary schools. We bring our classes to local schools, county museums, libraries and community centres to introduce our young people to the genesis of Irish culture
Our education partners understand the value that the School of Irish Archaeology brings to their pupils, and the positive and long-term impact that this experience offers. That's why we say that SIA explores the past with our future.
